Our Mission

Benzie Area Christian Neighbors strives to improve the quality of life for people with limited resources in our community by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, education and social support in collaboration with area resources.

  • BACN has been the caring community of Neighbors helping Neighbors for 40 years
  • Our philosophy is that we are all Neighbors, with gifts to give and needs to be met
  • BACN’s role in the community is not only direct assistance, but also connection to other agencies providing basic needs
  • BACN welcomes ALL, with no regard to age, gender, physical ability, nationality, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual preference, religious affiliation or lack thereof

We are open for Neighbor services and donations during the following hours:

Monday: 10am to 2pm

If you are visiting for the first time, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing.

Weather Closings: If either Benzie County Central or Frankfort Elberta Area Schools are closed due to bad weather, BACN will also be closed. If evening school activities are cancelled or there is a bad afternoon storm, we will be closed on Tuesday evening. Please check BACN’s Facebook page for the latest updates.
