Providing more access to education.
Educational support for neighbors.
BACN provides a range of opportunities for neighbors wanting to complete or continue their education. These include the following:
GED Program
In partnership with Michigan Works!, BACN hosts a program that helps neighbors complete their GED. Through this program, an instructor is on-site at BACN several time a week to provide one-on-one instruction to participating students.
Michigan Works!
Every Tuesday, a representative from Michigan Works! is on-site to help with job readiness opportunities and employment support services.
Benzie Area Adult Learner Fund
In partnership with the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club, Michigan Works!, and BEST Benzie County, the Fund helps adult students overcome challenges often overlooked by financial aid and scholarships when considering the cost of education–things like access to technology, supplies, childcare costs, and transportation expenses.
