Join us for the BACN/Bacon Cook-off August 27th!
We’ll be set up in Johnson Hall inside Frankfort’s Trinity Lutheran Church, where 10 area chefs will be offering specialty dishes created just for this event. All dishes contain bacon, of course! Sample as many as you like, and vote on your favorite!
The event is from 11:00 a.m. till 1:30 p.m.—the perfect amount of time to take a break from the beach and join us for lunch!
Guests purchase tickets for $2 to buy their choice of small plate dishes, priced at $2 (1 ticket), $4 (2 tickets) or $6 (3 tickets) depending on the offering. The chefs are competing for cash prizes for the dishes voted by event guests as the top three favorites.
Bring Home The BACON – Literally!
Two halves of a 160 -lb pig, (fully processed and packaged and regionally sourced, including chops, ribs, loin, shoulder, sausage and, of course, bacon) will be raffled off as the grand prizes at this year’s Benzie BACN Bacon Cook-Off . The raffle takes place at the event on August 27th at Trinity Lutheran Church. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25, and can be purchased at the Cook-Off, but are also on sale during normal business hours at both the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce on Main Street, and the Benzie Area Visitors’ Center at M115 and US31. They can also be purchased at BACN, Tuesday through Thursday from 10AM to 4PM. Winners do NOT need to be present, but will be required to pick up their frozen prizes from BACN.
